The Yukimura Circle

The Yukimura Circle is a dedicated space for those who have taken part in one or more Yukimura-ryu workshops with Michael RopeKnight at Studio TIEY.

It is a quiet continuation—an invitation to remain close to the practice. As a member of this circle, you’ve already stepped into the captivating world of aibunawa-shibari. This space exists to deepen that experience, not necessarily through instruction, but through presence, reflection, and shared understanding. Occasionally, we offer exclusive events designed specifically for those who have been touched by the Yukimura-ryu approach. These events will be personally announced to all Yukimura Circle members and added below as they arise.

If you meet the criteria but haven’t received a personal invitation, please feel free to contact us so we can update your membership status. If you’ve attended one or more Yukimura-ryu workshops with Michael RopeKnight elsewhere, you are warmly invited to join us at one of our upcoming events.

Our first Yukimura 1 and Yukimura 2 workshops for 2026 are already fully booked. But we have good news: we’re organizing additional Yukimura 1 and 2 workshops in 2026. We’re also thrilled to announce we’re planning a second edition of the Yukimura 3 workshop, following the wonderful experience of the first one at Studio TIEY in 2024.
