Saturday Night Live with Carnivore & Saara Rei

LIVE PLAY & SHOOT Performance by Carnivore & Saara Rei

"Play & Shoot" is much more than just an artistic approach – it is a dynamic method for creating authentic images and clips in real time. Designed and perfected by Swen Brandy, this approach blends performance, interaction, and creativity into a unique experience.

The method is as versatile as it is challenging: it can be complex, edgy, sexually charged, or infused with elements of fetish and BDSM. Yet at its core, "Play & Shoot" is about an essential connection – aligning with one another, synchronizing body and mind, understanding each other, and ultimately celebrating individuality.

In an impressive demo, Swen Brandy showcases a powerful excerpt of what has inspired and accompanied him for over 18 years. The performance celebrates passion, courage, and authenticity, inviting the audience to take a glimpse into the fascinating world of his creative vision.

"Play & Shoot" – An invitation to explore the boundaries of art and lose yourself in the game.

Documentary ‘My element water’

A documentary about a swimmer seeking challenges in her comfort element.

The documentary was the award winner of the Fetish Film Festival in London (UK), Bizarrya Short Film Festival in Porto (P) and Hallucinea Film Festival in Paris (F).

The 25-year-old Madame A was a former long distance competive swimmer. Connected with water since she can remember, she now seeks to find her boundaries in the nurture of something so familiar. As breathing was the first thing she was taught to learn, she now meets for a challenge where it‘s being taken away. Her experience is reflected in an additional interview. A short film produced in Stuttgart, Germany. (Trigger warning: sensory deprivation, hypoventilation and waterboarding).

Followed by a Q&A about experiencing a waterboarding session with Candy Dandelion, as the ‘victim’ of a waterboarding demo.

imagethunder - the visual language

This dialogue-free, documentary-style clip showcases Swen Brandys' past work and artistic approach through snippets of seconds, unveiling the method of Playshooting. ImageThunder is highly intense, intimate, and not intended for the faint-hearted. It captures mental and psychological challenges, moments of pleasure, pain, humiliation, tough and sweet challenges, all focused on the experience of stepping out of one's comfort zone and exploring new boundaries. The contents of ImageThunder are spontaneous, raw, unvarnished, and far from mainstream aesthetics.

This film contains scenes of intense violence, sexual depictions, and other potentially disturbing content. The depicted scenes may be perceived as disturbing or distressing and are not suitable for sensitive viewers. Viewing this material is at your own discretion. About CARNIVORE (Swen Brandy)

  •     Former competitive martial artist.

  •     Self-experimenter/Sadist/Masochist/Fetishist.

  •     Visual Artist & Kink Educator.

Swen Brandy devotes most of his work to exploring and celebrating the complex interplay between body and mind under unique, often challenging conditions and situations. His approach emphasizes the transformative power of nonverbal communication, inspired by the philosophical concepts of “The Easy Way” and “When Masks Fall.” This perspective highlights the liberating potential of nonverbal languages for play, sexuality, and interpersonal connections. A key principle he embodies is encapsulated in his quote: “When the final mask falls, beauty unfolds in its highest form.”

Symbolically, this philosophy revolves around embracing one's being and the circumstances in which one finds oneself—whatever they may be.

In his practice, Brandy combines BDSM, fetish, and sex-positive scenarios with photography and film, creating experiences that are both challenging and deeply personal for participants. His work goes beyond visual documentation, aiming to capture the essence of shared, intense moments. Models often find themselves in unique situations that push and expand their emotional and physical boundaries.

A key aspect of Brandy's work involves guiding individuals and couples who wish to engage actively or passively in sex-positive or BDSM-oriented play. He also offers expertise in photographing and filming these experiences, fostering creative expression and preserving meaningful interactions.

The central themes of his work include creating challenges for body and mind, body manipulation, impact play, rough body play, and play fighting. Brandy also focuses on body mechanics and designing creative play scenarios that are adaptable for both private exploration and professional application.

Through his workshops and projects, Swen Brandy consistently creates consensual and transparent spaces where participants can explore the connection between physicality and mind. His aim is to help individuals break free from everyday life, embrace the joy of being, foster personal growth, enhance intimacy, and create unique and memorable experiences.

About Saara Rei

Saara is a workshop facilitator with a background in music, dance, education, and public speaking. Her work generally centers around the exploration of suffering, both physical and emotional. Through her own kink practice, she has come to understand that suffering comes from the comparison of what has been or could be to the present moment. And with that, she enjoys teaching about how to use suffering as a path to presence and enjoyment in life. Having a Ph.D. in mathematics, her academic experience adds an intellectual flair to complement her performative approach to bodywork. Playfulness and humor make up a big chunk of her personality and approach to life, giving the workshops she facilitates an exploitative and light atmosphere, even while approaching some of the heaviest of topics.
